Moclijeo – Viñeros Festival

Vinegars Festival in Moclinejo

6 September 2026

This village in the heart of the Axarquía region is set amongst rolling hills, mostly covered with olive groves, almond trees and vineyards. Moclinejo is known as the ‘’Gateway to the Raisin Route’, but vine-growing is once again the mainstay of the local economy, alongside the almost artisanal production of olive oil. The wine and its raisins are renowned for their quality far beyond the region’s borders.

With the arrival of September, the month of vineyards and winegrowers, the Axarquía region comes into its own, and Moclinejo, with its traditional Winegrowers’ Festival, pays tribute to its roots and to the men and women who work in vine cultivation, and the production of the Muscatel wine that is so characteristic of this town.

Declared an Event of Tourist Interest by the Málaga Provincial Council.
